Big Yellow Flower needs a home...

I have to start by saying one of my all time favorite top 20 stamp companies is OUTLINES-they are so very usable; layering, graphically precise, neat, (not too many itsy-bitsy cutting that make your eyes crossed) and after I got done manipulating the image with globs of shinny paper glaze and homemade MS button punches--I had no idea what I was going to do with these BIG YELLOW FLOWERS ...until I start playing in my mishmash of decorative papers. I just recently made the creative decision to always buy more than one sheet of decorative papers…{it’s that ‘just in case thing’ that travels to your brain as you stand in front of stacks of glorious decorative papers that are SCREAMING your name…”Buy me—take me home Susanne—you know you want me—what’s another $1.99?!!!”}  You could say I am a polka-dot-stripe-circle-paisley-checkers girl when it comes to my top shelf DP wish list and the Bo Bunny "Whoo-Ligans Boo" paper was my motivator for this card today-and I only found (1) sheet of it !  So the one sheet wonders triggers the design of the card... (In my head I am saying to myself) make it smaller to s-t-r-e-t-c-h-o-u-t the pretty paper!  My wonderful Secret Sister gave me the Stampendous HB sentiment and black bling, and it so perfectly fit into my very own Stampendous gift tag stamp —the dry run stamp action possessed me to holler out “YES” and do that arm/ hand clenched fist movement like I just scored something important!!! Ha-ha (Strange are the things that make us happy in our craft rooms while no one is watching.) I felt rather “Martha-Stewartish” with my coordinating ribbon…Can you stand it…like it was meant to be all  matchy-matchy with a punch of perfect colored circles! Who said you can’t use a lil’ BOO paper and BOO ribbon to make a non-Halloween card? So, this friends, was my Saturday morning effort—off to conquer the grocery store now!

Blog-a-Rama!

Pam and I have been updating and tweaking the blog stuff--I'd rather pick dog hairs off my upholstery! You really have to have a special talent for web design since moving objects via a screen is like picking up bling with a wet Q-tip and hoping they fall into place!  I watched some Photoshop tutorials and they zoom right through the steps as IF we can see which buttons they are tapping...oh sure PS experts...tease me some more!

Shane graduates from Central Catholic HS this Friday-on MY birthday!  I think I am more melancholy about it then he is-which in turn means he's ready to move onto college!  You know that feeling when you just know about something-no big whip...it is what it is...he's like that!  It's his placement in the family-the ever so pleasing middle child--"He's Irish, he'll deal!" (Half Irish...the Lithuanian side of him better step up to the plate and make some noise!!!) I was given full control of the buying of the stuff for his room at school today-as we discussed 'college things'!  This is big since I have others in the house that will not let me buy their stuff for them! {We won't name name's.}  I told him when he gets to school this fall to check his mailbox weekly-for goodies...he agreed that was a very good idea! Now, if I can just make it through his HS graduation ceremony w/o using the entire box of Kleenex tucked under my arm and yelling "SHANE...YOU DID IT" too loudly without embarrassing my entire family..! I wonder if there is a quick Martha Stewart pattern to conceal a box of Kleenex that looks like a purse?

I am just hoping the zoom lense on our digital camera will allow me to take the right picture of the right kid--MY KID!!!...Have I told you about the time I took an ENTIRE 24 shot film cartridge of a hockey player that wasn't my son Patrick?  Oh did we laugh when I developed those pictures...Who's this kid? Granted, "Peeg" doesn't let me wash his practice hockey jersey's too often (pinching nose closed here)..and I swear it was a yellow jersey...he had tucked into his hockey bag that night...I was so happy to catch a practice on film, I had the pictures developed, brought them home and Peeg say's...Um Mom, you took some other kids pictures!!! Hahahahahaha--  Damn view finder...why can't they make them as big as a chalk board?

If I screw up the pictures...I have an excuse this time...the Kleenex box was in the way!
Until the next time I find my blog....:)

Shane and MMA fight tonight

Well, I just packed up a big car full of (8) boy's headed to Shane's MMA fight in Portland, ME tonight.  I have put in a BIG TICKET with God on this one...Oh please don't let Shane or his opponent get hurt and may the other guy 'tap-out' first! Amen!

Now, since there are a car fullah boy's heading to this event, they will arrive back home to sleep over here tonight. You all know what this means...MAN FOOD: blue Doritos, green ice cream, pop, at least a two gallons, bacon and homemade Belgium Waffles in the am--before they leave for baseball.

Shane will miss his senior Prom, but he still will get the chance to dance a little tonight...in a cage!

PAM: BEST COUSIN/IT GIRL

Well everyone, there's going to be a NEW LOOK on my bloggy soon and it's all because I have a fabulous cousin that is going to assist me in this adventure!  Oh sure, I had to design a make-shift photo box with a sideway's tri-fold exhibit poster held up with my 5" wide quilting ruler, (that conceals the unfinshed basement dungeon decor of my work room) and take a zillion digi pics to find some that were not BLURRY or looked like some drunk guy got a  hold of my camera in the middle of the night--Pam is going to add all the razzzzzz-ma-tazzzz to my blog because she is a super artistic groovy IT chick! So stay tuned!  Check out her blog too--@ PaisleyThyme (let me get her proper blog address) so I can give her a PROPER shout-out!   Stay-tuned for more!

Happy Easter Everyone!

It's going to be a easy day for us here since Patrick has baseball try-outs at 6:00pm (I still cannot believe this is happening on EASTER night--but ya never know baseball!) and we are to meet up with Tom's kinfolk at Markey's for fresh fish @ 5:00pm.  I would imagine Patrick and I will go early while Tom handles the rear end of dinner with his family.  Bring on the Fried Shrimp! Ooo la la...no cookin' or cleanin' at my house!  It's a real holiday for me this Easter!

Beach Babes...Art Impressions stamps! BEACH SWAP SCS!

I am addicted to Art Impressions Stamps--this card was made for a "Beach Swap" that is due in May--I am still toying with the idea to 'glitter-up' at least one of the bathing suit ladies here--not sure which one can stand up to the flashy glitter--however, the green lady seems to have it going on!!!  Yes, I get a lil' personal with my cards! Haha!
